Webinar Overview
High-Level Disinfection (HLD) has traditionally been performed using chemical germicides like glutaraldehyde, paracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, or ortho-phthalaldehyde), all of which have drawbacks.
More recently, automated systems based on ultraviolet-C (UV-C) irradiation have gained approval in various countries for performing HLD on non-lumened devices. These devices include ENT scopes, TEE/TOE probes, vaginal and rectal ultrasound probes, as well as surface ultrasound probes.
